A subsidiary of the Martı Otel İşletmeleri, which is one of the earliest tourism operators in Turkey, Martı REIT, which went public in September, made its first brandnew investment move apart from the projects revealed in its IPO circular.

Martı REIT acquired for a period of 49 years the easement rights of the 4 plot property situated adjacent to Martı Resort Hotel with an area of 22,581 square meters owned by the Ministry of Finance, and which were offered to tender on 7 January 2011 by Marmaris Fiscal Directorate on a negotiated tendering basis. Martı REIT, which competed up against 9 other firms to acquire for a period of 49 years the easement rights of the real estate in the İçmeler Kumluörencik neighborhood, outdistanced its rivals and came first.
